There are two ways to approach the use of VC-3 when discussing plastic compatibility. If you apply VC-3 directly to a plastic fastener, there is a limited selection of substrates which are compatible. Please review the table here as a start, and be sure to test first.  The second way to use VC-3 is when you are installing a metal fastener into plastic. Because VC-3 must be dried first, all the solvent will have evaporated and you should be left with an inert plastic threadlocker.  You can then install that fastener into practically any type of plastic assembly.
The suitability depends on the hydraulic system pressure and vibration resistance requirements. While some general-purpose sealants can handle moderate hydraulic pressures, choose high-strength, vibration-resistant formulas for critical applications.
Anaerobic thread sealants are liquid adhesives that solidify in the absence of air, filling gaps and preventing leaks between threaded components. They react with metal surfaces and form a strong, flexible seal, preventing fluid (air, water, oil, etc.) from escaping.
Anti-seize products are lubricating compounds used to prevent seizing, galling, and corrosion in threaded connections and other metal-to-metal interfaces. They typically contain a high percentage of solid lubricants dispersed in a grease-like carrier.
These adhesives consist of two components that cure without mixing. They are designed for bonding various substrates and typically offer fast cure times and high shear strength.

The solvent in VC-3 is MEK, VC-4 contains Ethyl Acetate, VC-5 contains MPK, and VC-6 contains Dimethyl carbonate.
Strengths range from low, which is service removable (Purple), to medium, which is for a strong but removeable hold (blue), to high strength which is permanent and requires heat to remove (red). Choose low for occasional adjustments, medium for general use, and high for critical applications needing permanent hold.
They are ideal for applications requiring quick assembly, high strength, and durability, such as magnet bonding in electric motors and various industrial applications.
