Vibra-Tite VC-3 Ajustable & Reusable Threadlocker
Is a blend of acrylic resins which once applied to a fastener and air dried, creates a soft thread locking material. VC-3’s vibration absorbing characteristics keep fasteners isolated from their assembly, preventing loosening. A major feature of VC-3 vs traditional threadlockers is that it can be easily adjusted, removed, and reused.

Why it works
Vibra-Tite VC-3 Threadmate is one of the most versatile firearm threadlockers available on the market. Unlike traditional liquid lockers which cure to form a hard bond, VC-3 is a blend of resins designed to remain flexible and absorb vibration. This unique difference makes VC-3 coated fasteners truly adjustable, removable, and reusable. If applied to a metal part first and fully dried, it can be installed into nearly any plastic part.
VC-3 vs Split-ring Lock Washer
Applications
- As a firearm threadlocker VC-3 acts like a shock absorber, isolating the screw from the gun frame while dampening vibration, making it perfect for:
- scope rings
- sights
- picatinny rails
- laser guides
- mounted pistol lights
- custom grips
- Prevents the screw from rotating loose, yet always remains flexible allowing it to be adjusted, removed, and reused.
- Also widely used in the archery trade for the securing of bow fasteners and broad-heads.
Features
- An acrylic polymer that dampens and absorbs vibration
- Will not harden like anaerobic threadlockers
- Works with metal, wood, plastic* (Nylon, PPE, PP) and more
- Fasteners are easily adjusted, removed and reused
- Works on fasteners of any shape or size; From tiny eyeglass screws to large construction bolts and on internal or external threads
- If your firearm or accessory came with a threadlocker pre-applied, we also manufacture and process fasteners for firearm manufacturers around the world. To learn more about this process visit our ND Industries website.
*Allow the VC-3 to thoroughly dry before coming into contact with plastic.
Vibra-Tite Anaerobic Threadlockers
Cure in the absence of air and the presence of an active metal. They come in a wide variety of formulas, from low strength for small fasteners, to high temperature and high strength for larger bolts and non-removable applications. Specific anaerobic formulas can also be wicked into pre-installed parts.

Why it works
Because anaerobic threadlockers cure to a hard bond, they can be great for securing a wide range of fastener types. The primary concern when performing maintenance on shooting sports equipment fasteners is to not over apply or choose a threadlocker with too high a strength. The smaller the fastener, the harder an anaerobic can be to “break” free when servicing. Even a low strength material on a very small fastener can require heat to remove.

121 Cure Time vs Substrate
Applications
Honestly, most of the time you should just use VC-3. However if you ever run into applications where you need temperature resistance over 165°F, never plan to remove the fastener, or need immediate installation, then switch to anaerobics.
Features
- Unitizes assembly
- Locks and seals threaded fasteners
- Performs better than lock washers
- Alleviates rust-lock
- Prevents leakage

Hot-Lock™ Extreme Temp Threadlocker
Vibra-Tite Hot-lock™ is a medium-high strength, ceramic-based threadlocker which exhibits unparalleled temperature resistance up to 2000°F and excellent performance across many different substrate finishes.

Why it works
Hot-lock will lock threaded joints in place at temperatures where standard threadlockers would disintegrate. Applications include muzzle brakes / recoil compensators, suppressors and other threaded muzzle devices.

Hot-Lock Breakaway Torque
Applications
- A ceramic-based threadlocker that locks threaded barrel devices at extreme high temperatures.
- Prevents the screw from rotating loose under extreme heat and vibration / shock.
- Works with many different substrate finishes.
Features
- Performs well under extreme heat
- Unitizes assembly
- Locks and seals threaded fasteners
- Performs better than lock washers
- Alleviates rust-lock
- Prevents leakage
Vibra-Tite 388 Black Super Glue
388 Black is a rubber-toughened super glue that provides superior shock and thermal resistance. It’s superior bonding quality make it an excellent choice for shotgun sights, beads, sight ramps and more. This rubberized formula helps to absorb the shock of discharge, allowing for a better, longer lasting bond. 388 Black works on metal, rubber and plastics.

Why it works
388 Black is a low viscosity super glue formulated to bond non-threaded rifle and shotgun parts. To help these parts remain bonded in place, rubber has been added to absorb the discharge vibration. In addition, the rubber-toughened formula is designed to stand-up to the weather elements, so whether you’re hunting in the rain, snow or sun, the bond remains strong.

388 Black Strength at Temp
Applications
A great alternative to soldering, 388 Black provides a strong bond and vibration resistance, allowing for a better, stronger bond. This formula cures matte black so it blends nicely with blued steel. 388 Black is typically used on sights, sight ramps, & collars, but can be used on anything that you want to bond long-term. Works well on metal, rubber and plastic.
